2D & 3D Reconstruction
About this service
The digital reconstruction of historical buildings and sites — fortifications, manor houses, sacred structures, and other built forms — is grounded in the research of historical sources, iconography, and the architectural context of the period. The result is not merely a visual representation, but an interpretation rooted in what is known about the materials, construction methods, and appearance of buildings in a given time and place. Reconstructions are produced as three-dimensional models suited for digital formats, publications, or exhibition displays.
Alongside 3D models, two-dimensional (2D) floor plans and spatial representations can also be produced — ranging from individual buildings to entire settlements. These can stand alone or be combined with 3D reconstructions, and integrate naturally into broader visual contexts: informational posters, exhibition panels, or publications with a thematic focus on specific elements, such as the fortification system of a town at a particular point in history.
